The CL-MAG(tm) was designed to have the lowest operating drag due to friction. The ammunition is contained individually inside the drums on sprockets and each cartridge has its own separate space. The ammunition is picked off the sprockets when they spin, different from the typical high-friction convergence found on cheaper designs. This is why our drums do not require graphite lubrication to function efficiently. The drum shell is designed to guide the cartridges with ridges; this also allows for the drum shell case to accumulate chamber residue from extended high-volume usage. We are currently working on our second generation of the CL-MAG(tm) that will be made using more high-impact polymers. We expect the next generation to be available near the third quarter of 2009. In the near future this magazine will also be available for G36 and AK74 rifles. |
The CL-MAG(tm) offers for the first time a reliable and efficient 150-round magazine for the .223/5.56mm rifle. Designed to fit NATO standard (STANAG-4179) rifles, the CL-MAG(tm) quickly converts riflemen with standard M4 rifles into automatic support personnel. The 150-round magazines have been routinely emptied through the standard AR-15 setup without weapon failure (starting at ambient temperature). The flexibility of such force multiplication makes the CL-MAG(tm) the most dominant accessory for the AR/M4/M16 family of weapons.
